Blackjack

How to Play

The objective of the game is to stake your chances of drawing cards that total more than the Dealer’s without exceeding 21. If you do then you receive an Even money payout and you retain your original stake, except in the following circumstances:-

1. A score of 21 achieved in 2 cards (this is a “Natural” or “Blackjack”) receives a payout of 3 to 2.

2. If the Dealer gets a “Blackjack”, then all stakes are taken except from those players with the same score. They only retain their original stake, but do not get paid out.

3. In the case of a tie where the score of the Dealer is the same as that of any player, then the original stake is retained.

HOW TO PLAY:

* All cards have their face value.

* Picture cards count as 10

*The Ace is either 1 or 11

1. Place your stake on the box marked on the table in front of you.

2. Dealer will deal the first card face up to each player and then to himself.

4. If you are satisfied with the total of 2 cards, then you can “Stand”.

Players can continue to draw more cards until they are either bust or satisfied with the total.

6. Finally, the dealer deals himself the 2nd card and he has to continue to draw further cards if his hand is 16 or less. If his score is 17 or more, he may “Stand” and pay out to those with higher score up to and includng 21.

USEFUL TIPS TO BEAR IN MIND

1. If your two cards total 9, 10 or 11 then you may double your original stake and draw one more card only.

2. Pairs of cards (Except 4, 5 and 10) may be split and receive 2 more cards. If you score a “Blackjack” on a split, this only counts as 21.
